A Decade of Cartoons
In high school, I was very inspired by James Kolchalka's daily cartoon practice, four colorful, acrylic squares that somehow sum up his life each day. After reading American Elf, I began my own series, depicting hilarity, embarrassments, excitements, and mundanity, always aware that transcending these years would form me into some kind of uniquely odd artist and adult. SECONDS is name of the cartoon based on my current daily life that I revisit whenever I am at my house in DC. I'm a little older and more mature in it, and have lost the bunny ears of Daily Cartoon.
I'm also doing cartoons about Mugsy, the beloved (I guess, if she has to be), incredibly bitter 8-year old.
